Blog Spotlight: So She Says – Writer Cynthia A. Rodriguez

Since joining the WordPress community in September I have found a gaggle of blogs dedicated to books and the people who write them. I have also enjoyed learning about these writers and reading about their journey to becoming a published author

Let me introduce you to Cynthia A. Rodriguez, her blog is called “So She Says”. Her blog is a public record of her adventure in writing her first book, which she just finished her first draft, and her thoughts on being a writer. Here is her About The Author page:

Cynthia A. Rodriguez was born in a small Connecticut town. She grew up knowing her creativity burned brightly and was always getting into some project or other. In February of 2012, she joined the United States Army. She is currently deployed in Afghanistan. In her down-time, you can find her watching movies, ranging anywhere from classic movies to action flicks (she has a weakness for Marvel adaptations), and reading steamy novels. She is stationed in Germany, where she lives with her husband Juan and their Miniature Pinscher, Winnie (as in Pooh).

Did you catch the part where she is a member of the US Army and is currently serving in Afghanistan? Do any of us have any excuses for not finding time to write? I thought not.

Cynthia is an inspiration to us all. She serves her country in the most dangerous war zone and still finds time to pursue her love of writing. As a Army veteran my self I can tell you that the work days are long and tiring, to do what she does takes conviction. I would like to thank her personally for her service, without men and women like her none of us would be able to do what we do.

Go check out her blog and see how her 2nd draft is going, get some insight into her musical tastes and thank her for her service.

Until next time…
