@NaNoWriMo, Spoils of Victory!

2013_winner_header

NaNoWriMo has released the codes needed to access the rewards for writing 50k+ words in 30 days. I am excited to get the chance to use a lot of these, two really good pieces of software have already been purchased. If you go to the “Collect Winner Goodies” and scroll down you will see the link that leads to the reward codes. 13 rewards are listed, here are the 4 that I want to spot light.

CreateSpace: Not sure when I will get to make use of this one, but it is still a really nice reward.

As a winner of the 2013 NaNoWriMo challenge, you’re eligible to receive two free paperback copies of your novel. To redeem the offer, you’ll need a special NaNoWriMo winner’s password. To get your password, you must be an official NaNoWriMo 2013 winner, and be signed into the NaNoWriMo site. Once you are, your unique password will be displayed at the bottom of this paragraph.

Scrivener: All ready used this one. Scrivener is a must for all writers, in my opinion. I found it to be immensely useful in keeping my manuscript organized during NaNoWriMo.

scrivenerbtyb1Winners Get 50% off on Scrivener writing software for Mac OS X and Windows

Congratulations, 2013 winners! To celebrate, Literature & Latte is offering NaNoWriMo winners 50% off the purchase price of Scrivener, our writing software program. Scrivener is designed specifically to aid you in hammering out your first draft, helping you to organize your research, and find a structure for your novel along the way.

To get your Scrivener promo code you must be an official NaNoWriMo 2013 winner, and be signed into the NaNoWriMo site. If you are a verified, signed-in winner, your code will be displayed below this paragraph. If you have already purchased Scrivener, feel free to pass your coupon code on to a friend.

Aeon Timeline: I have not used Aeon Timeline to it’s fullest yet, but what I have seen I was impressed enough to use the coupon to purchase it. I am looking forward to use it during my first rewrite. My novel covers a large area of land and many days, I will need to make sure everyone is accounted for and a timeline is just the tool I need for that.

Congratulations on winning NaNoWriMo. To recognize your achievement, we are offering a 40% discount for Aeon Timeline, bringing the purchase price for a Mac or Windows license down to just $US24. If you did not take advantage of our extended trial during NaNoWriMo, you can still download a free 20 day trial from our website. On that page you will also find links to video screencasts and interviews with a number of NaNoWriMo 2013 participants.

Lulu: This reward is an interesting one. I have not researched it fully yet. I have heard good things and I am excited to learn more about their services.

You made it! 50,000+ words in 720 hours! It is quite an accomplishment, but this is just where the journey begins. Lulu would like to offer all Wrimo winners with a free proof copy of your First Edition Hardcover from Lulu.com and a free manuscript review by The Book Genome Project.

In addition, Lulu invites you to submit your manuscript for the exclusive Wrimo Accelerator Program, where ten Wrimos will be hand-selected for the author adventure of a lifetime, including:

  • Cover design and formatting
  • 100 copies of your book
  • Distribution in major bookstores
  • Website, book trailer, and promotional materials for your book
  • Social media and PR campaign
  • Exclusive media event at BEA 2014

These are the couple of rewards that caught my attention the most. I highly recommend Scrivener and Aeon Timeline for those detailed planners. Which rewards are you looking forward to making use of?

Until next time…
