Moving Forward…

It’s been a life changing month for me. On April 21st my father passed away and went home to be with Jesus. He was, and will always be, a big part of my life. It’s hard to image a closer father/son relationship, and I thank God for it.

As for my writing. That loss left me with a lack of desire to write. I sat at my computer, fired up Scrivener, and had no desire to put words together to form a sentence. In fact, this is my first thought out writing since that day.

I still have the dream of sharing my stories. My mind is still filled with dozens of worlds I want to explore. So I have decided it is time for me to move forward. My father always encouraged me to chase my dreams and to never give up.

With that said. The next part in the Stone of Tyfen will be published on Wattpad on June 11th… tentatively scheduled. I will confirm that once I get some words written and feel that creative flow again. Also, I’ve decided to edit a story I wrote during NaNoWriMo 2015 and publish that as a stand alone. More information on that story will be revealed soon.

It feels good to be thinking about writing again. I’m hoping that the process of telling a story will help me during the process of living without my best friend.

Until next time…

  1. I have always stood by the claim that writing is the truest form of therapy. It allows you to wade through your thoughts no matter how muddled they are. As you slowly unravel all the things laid on your mind, where before were jumbled together in a fast flowing stream, now flow smoothly from your brain to your fingertips and onto the blank page. Writing gives us an outlet. It frees up space in our internal memory storage and places it in a safe external storage.

I’m very sorry to hear about your loss. Peace be with you.
